EVSC Membership and COVID-19
As our government again attempts to flatten the curve our members are anxiously awaiting the trails to open for the season. Unfortunately – as the government bodies work to adapt to the ever changing scope of this pandemic – we are all being called upon to remain flexible to new regulations on operation in our business and personal lives.
As a result, our members have been reaching out to ask whether refunds will be issued should our operations be halted due to COVID-19 regulations, as well as, if our out of province members are unable to enter British Columbia due to travel restrictions.
If you are unsure of whether you will be comfortable purchasing a membership this year please read the information below carefully and take note that we are offering Debit, Visa, and Mastercard at all of our trailheads this year for quick and safe processing of our $25 day passes.
For our members who have already purchased their memberships for the year we wish to remind you that your membership does more than provide you access to our trails. It offers you the opportunity to vote at our AGM and supports the growth and stability of our trail use in these areas. Our Board of Directors and operational leaders work tirelessly year-round to continue to lobby for our rights to these trails, and we do require the support from our members to continue doing so.
A portion of your Club Membership goes towards your BCSF membership; providing you a range of bonuses and further protects Snowmobiling in British Columbia. We recommend visiting the following link to see the full list of benefits, https://www.bcsf.org/cpages/benefits2
The EVSC tracks our membership visits by requiring photo ID at the trailhead and recording the membership card number on a daily tracking sheet. Due to the unusual circumstances created by COVID-19 the Board of Directors has decided that the EVSC will refund any unused membership fees to any members whose card was not recorded at our trailheads at the END of our season.
If our season ends earlier than April 2021 due to COVID-19 we will consider refunds as of the date on which we cease operations. If you wish to remain a member of our Club through this challenging year, regardless of circumstances, then we genuinely appreciate your support. However, if you are unable to hit our trails this season and require fees to be returned we ask that you contact our membership administrator at firstname.lastname@example.org for your request to be processed at the end of our season.
The EVSC remains optimistic that our community and staff will be able to welcome all of our members to sled together in a socially responsible and respectful manner this season, and endeavour to maintain our positivity throughout the season, no matter what gets thrown our way, and we encourage you to stay positive too.
